Time to get up and give a warm standing ovation for Lou Lynn – winner of the Governor’s General Award in Visual and Media Arts for 2021. A true master at her craft; Lou’s precision, focus, professionalism, originality and kindness are embodied by her work and her way of being. I considered myself lucky as heck to have been commissioned by Canada Council to direct this portrait of Lou. Indebted to Bohdan Doval for his beautiful camera work, Ben Euerby at Knome Studios for his brilliant musical treatment on this video and Janet Dwyer for her amazing photos. Congrats to Lou for this well deserved and spectacular career achievement!
